Behind the Scenes: Roasting Day

Every coffee lover has their own morning rituals: some can’t imagine a day without a cup of strong espresso, some choose cappuccino, and some love long gatherings with filter coffee. But few people think about the path each bean takes before it gets into your cup.

We are proud to roast coffee right here, in our cafe in Granite Bay. Every week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays our roaster comes to life, and green beans turn into aromatic batches of coffee, which end up on your table the next day. This spectacle is like a small show: a rotating drum, light smoke, rich aromas of chocolate, nuts and citrus that fill the room.

Through large viewing windows, each guest can observe the process. We believe in openness and want our visitors to see with what attention and love we treat each stage. Our roaster Brendan often comes out to guests to explain the difference between light and dark roasts, show off a fresh batch, or even let them taste beans straight from the roaster.

For us, coffee is not just a drink, but a whole culture. And we want to share this culture with you. Come on one of our roasting days: inhale the aroma, watch the process, and you will understand exactly why our coffee has such a rich taste.
